Vivo’s upcoming smartphone Vivo V20 is going to run on the latest version of Google’s operating system, Android 11. This has been confirmed by the company in a press statement.
The statement, however, is not clear if the device will run on Android 11 out of the box or it will be rolled out later as an update.
“The V20 series will run on the recently-launched Android 11 operating system, which will give users more convenient ways to manage conversations, device controls, privacy settings, and more. With Android 11, V20 series users will be able to see, respond to, and control their conversations across multiple messaging apps in one place and pin conversations to the top of other apps for better multitasking, making it easier for fast-moving young people to connect. Android 11 will also give users a one touch path to controlling connected devices, seamless switching with media output devices, and the Nearby Share feature to quickly send files, videos, map locations, and more to a nearby Android device. Depending on market conditions, vivo has a plan to equip V20 series with Android 11 in succession,” said the company in a statement.
Just last week, Vivo released all specs of the V20 smartphone. As per the specs on the website, the Vivo V20 sports a 6.44-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display and comes powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
For imaging duties, the handset houses a triple rear camera setup, with 64MP primary sensor, 8MP wide-angle sensor and 2MP monochrome sensor. On the front, it houses a single 44MP sensor.
Backed by a 4,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, the Vivo V20 is listed to be available in three colour options — Sunset Melody, Midnight Jazz and Moonlight Sonata.
