South Korean electronics brand Samsung has launched its lineup of 2020 sound devices in India. The company has unveiled the Sound Tower series along with Q and T series soundbars. The newly launched speakers are said to come with the world’s first Atmos technology.
Samsung Sound Tower series comprises MX-T70 and MX-T50 tower speakers. The new series come with up to 1,500 watt output, built-in woofer and bi-directional sound feature. Its bi-directional sound feature is said to disperse sound in directions covering wider range. The MX-T70 Sound Tower is equipped with a 10-inch built-in woofer.
Samsung Sound Tower lineup comes with multiple audio features like Dynamic Bass, DJ effect, Karaoke and LED Party Lights among others. The speaker also has multiple USB ports along with Bluetooth and Group Play, which allows up to 10 Sound Tower speakers with one audio source. Samsung says that the speakers are splash proof.
Samsung has launched two new series under the 2020 soundbar lineup- Q series and T series. The Q series consists of HW-Q950T, HW-Q900T, HW-Q800T and HW-Q60T, while the T Series Soundbars are offered in seven models – HW-T670, HW-T550, HW-T450, HW-T45E, HW-T420, HW-T42E and HW-T400.
Samsung Q series soundbars are equipped with Dolby Atmos technology along with the company’s own Q-Symphony technology. The soundbars feature up and side-firing speakers with three-dimensional audio flow. It also comes with Acoustic Beam technology to create 3D overhead sound effects.
The speakers are Amazon Alexa-enabled. Other features include Game Mode Pro, Adaptive Sound technology to automatically optimized sound and the Tap Sound feature which allows one to share music from smartphone directly to the soundbar, just with a tap.
The T series soundbars are equipped with Dolby Audio and DTS: Virtual X technology along with Smart Sound to optimize sound. The series also has a Game Mode. In terms of connectivity, the T Series Soundbars can be connected with Samsung TVs through a HDMI cable or Bluetooth. Users can connect two different mobile devices at the same time using the Bluetooth multi-connection feature.
Both Samsung Sound Tower and soundbars can be controlled via the Samsung Audio Remote app.
Price and availability
The 2020 Sound Device line-up will be available on Samsung’s official online store, Samsung Shop and select Samsung Smart Plazas from July 16, 2020. All Soundbars & Sound Towers will come with 12 months of warranty.
The Samsung Sound Tower MX-T70 is priced at Rs 42,990, while the MX-T50 is available for Rs 29,990.
Q Series Soundbars come in four models – HW-Q950T priced at Rs 1,39,990, HW-Q900T priced at Rs 1,03,990, HW-Q800T priced at Rs 53,990 and HW-Q60T priced at Rs 35,990.
Samsung T series Soundbars models include – HW-T650 priced at Rs 35,990, HW-T550 priced at Rs 25,990, HW-T450 priced at Rs 19,990, HW-T420 priced at Rs 16,990 and HW-T400 priced at Rs 10,990.
The HW-T45E priced at Rs 19,990 will be available on Amazon, while HW-T42E priced at Rs 16,990 will be available on Flipkart.
