South Korean tech giant Samsung has launched the 5G variant of its latest foldable smartphone, Galaxy Z Flip. The launch comes just days before the company is scheduled to host its Galaxy Unpacked event (on August 5).
Galaxy Z Flip 5G price and availability
Samsung has said that Z Flip 5G will be available starting August 7 in the US at $1,449.99 (approximately Rs 1,08,000). In the US, it will be available from AT&T and T-Mobile and the unlocked version of the same will be up available on Amazon, Best Buy and Samsung’s official website.
It remains to be seen if the company will launch Galaxy Flip 5G in India, considering there’s no 5G network in the country yet.
Galaxy Z Flip 5G specs
Launched in Mystic Gray and Mystic Bronze colour options, the Galaxy Z Flip is powered by the most powerful processor from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC. The 4G variant of the Galaxy Z Flip runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus.
Other than that, there are no differences between the 4G and 5G variant of the Galaxy Z Flip. Just like the 4G variant, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G too comes with clamshell design that is 6.7 inch screen size when opened. It is an FHD+ AMOLED display with 2636x1080p resolution. Besides the main screen, it also has a tiny 1.05-inch OLED touch display on the outer part.
The camera sensors too remain the same as the display houses a single 10-megapixel selfie camera not the top on the form of an Infinity-O display and on the outer panel, you get a dual sensor setup off 12-megapixel cameras next to the small screen.
Backed by a 3,300mAh battery, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G offers fast charging support along with reverse charging functionality.
