Xiaomi India MD and Global VP Manu Kumar Jain has teased the launch of a Redmi phone in India. Jain shared a post about the upcoming launch on Twitter. Although he did not reveal the name of the device, it is likely that the company may bring Redmi Note 9.
“Mi Fans, brace yourselves for the rise of a brand new BEAST from #Redmi!….Unparalleled speed, unparalleled power, unparalleled camera – #UndisputedChampion is coming soon!,” read Jain’s tweet. The company is touting the phone with the tagline ‘The Undisputed Championship’.

The post on Twitter also has an image of a championship look-alike belt with the letters Redmi and Note inscribed on the side straps. The number 9 is embedded at the centre. Clubbed together, this hints at the launch of Redmi Note 9 soon. There is also a link in the tweet that takes one to the official page of the upcoming launch. Through the link, users can subscribe to get notified about the phone. No other detail of the upcoming device is revealed.
Xiaomi currently has Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max under its Redmi Note 9 series.
In another news, the company has temporarily reduced the price of Redmi K20 Pro in the country. The smartphone is listed at a discounted price of Rs 24,999 for the 6GB+128GB storage model. It can be purchased at the offer price from Flipkart, Amazon and Mi.com till July 13.
