BBK-owned smartphone brand OnePlus has been teasing the launch of its next smartphone — that has been rumoured to be called OnePlus Z, OnePlus Z Lite, OnePlus Nord and many other names — in India since the last couple of days. Today, the company has confirmed the name of the smartphone series along with listing it on Amazon India website.
In a press statement, the company has said that the name of the smartphone series will be OnePlus Nord, which was a popular choice amongst tipsters. Not only that, the company has also revealed that the first device under the OnePlus Nord lineup will be launched in Europe and India.
Interested users in India can head to and click on the ‘Notify Me’ button to get more details on the handset. On OnePlus India’s official website, the company gives the option of pre-ordering the OnePlus Nord. However, as of now it is redirecting to the Amazon India listing page only hinting that the company may soon start the pre-booking offer on the soon to be launched handset.
For the uninitiated, the company has created a special Instagram account for the upcoming smartphone by the name of ‘OnePlusLiteZThing’ where in one of the Stories, it has posted that it will make 100 units available for pre-order available on July 1 at 1.30 PM.

Besides India and Europe, the first smartphone in the OnePlus Nord series will also be available to select a number of users in North America through “a highly limited beta program after launch,” said the company.
At this point, the dedicated microsite on Amazon India website also doesn’t reveal much about the handset in terms of specs or availability.
