German luxury camera brand Leica has launched the M10-R compact digital view and range finder system camera globally. With the new Leica M10-R, Leica Camera AG introduces a high-resolution variant of the company’s rangefinder camera. The Leica M10-R will arrive in India in August 2020. The recommended retail price is Rs 6,95,000 (inclusive of GST).
The M10-R’s newly-developed sensor offers a resolution of over 40 megapixels. The M10-R completes the Leica M10 family, which also includes the M10, M10-P, M10-D and M10 Monochrom.
The M10-R’s base sensitivity is of ISO 100 and goes up to ISO 50000. The maximum exposure time has been increased to 16 minutes. The Leica M10-R is equipped with the same shutter as the Leica M10-P. According to the company, the Leica M10-R is best able to reach its full potential when paired with Leica M lenses.
In the viewfinder, there is a four-digit digital display. The back of the camera has a 3-inch colour -TFT LCD monitor with 16 million colors and 1,036,800 pixels which is protected by Gorilla glass. The camera resolutions are 7864 x 5200 pixels (40,89MP), JPEG: 7840 x 5184 Pixel (40,64MP), 5472 x 3648 Pixel (20 MP) and 2976 x 1984 Pixel (6MP). The camera supports SD cards up to 2GB, SDHC cards up to 32GB and SDXC cards up to 2TB. The camera comes with a metal blade focal plane shutter with vertical movement.
